It was 1975 when Nivea Dei Rossi, after working with her mother at Mobili Morgan, opened Mobili Dei Rossi at Via Ginnastica 40 in Trieste, offering classic and modern designer furniture. Its success prompted Sergio, Nivea's husband, to leave his business and join the company.
In 1976 several important kitchen brands were acquired such as Scavolini, Drawing 2 And Minotti. In 1980, Mobili Dei Rossi specialized in the sale and design of interior furnishings and the business expanded with the opening of the store at Via Brunner 10, its current location, introducing brands such as Busnelli, Poliform, and Nova Serenissima.
In this context, Mobili Dei Rossi fits into the panorama of interior design in Trieste, developing a proposal capable of adapting to changes in taste, which in the 1980s progressively moved from classic to modern.
Evolution and continuity over time
One of the factors contributing to Mobili Dei Rossi's success is its participation in furniture fairs and its ability to continually innovate and keep pace with the times. In the 1980s, the company continued to operate in the classic furniture sector, designing furniture for professional firms, including law firms and public figures.
In 1996, Dr. Fabia Dei Rossi, Nivea's daughter, joined the company, supported by her brother Pier. At the end of the last millennium, Fabia joined the family business full-time. In the early 2000s, she participated in the young entrepreneurs' group and also supervised the activities of the Traders' Association.
Over time, the company has maintained excellent levels even during times of crisis, thanks to its acquired professionalism and ability to evolve, including through the development of digitalization. This path consolidates its presence in the sector interior design in Trieste.
The generational transition
and the present
In 2019 a further step towards the future takes place with the generational transition that sees Fabia Dei Rossi Become the owner of the company. Today, Mobili Dei Rossi is a leading provider of custom interiors, with solutions that include complete furnishings, Scavolini kitchens in Trieste, bathrooms, living rooms, bookcases, and custom-made wardrobes.
The company continues to operate with an approach based on experience and continuity, maintaining its role in the sector
interior design in Trieste and carrying on a family tradition that has developed over two generations.
Mobili Dei Rossi's events
In 2025 the owners of Mobili Dei Rossi received from Valter Scavolini the 40 years plaque even if the collaboration it is already 47 years together.
